Dr. DiBartola became fascinated with dentistry at an early age. In the close knit community of Whitehall, he looked forward to visiting his dentist who happened to be his little league baseball manager. He learned the concept of friendly dentistry at an early age.
He graduated from Baldwin school where he excelled both academically and athletically, earning state honors in football, wrestling and track. In the spring of 1977 he accepted a football scholarship from the University of Pittsburgh. He came to Pitt for two reasons: ‘to carry the football for one of the most storied football programs in the country and to become a dentist.” He went on to accomplish both.
He left Pitt having received varsity letters from 1977-1981. He studied pre-dental and environmental engineering, receiving his bachelor’s degree in 1980. He was a football all-american in 1982, the year Pitt won the Sugar Bowl Classic. That year his dream of being accepted to dental school came true.
Upon completing dental school in 1985, Dr. DiBartola opened his first practice in Bridgeville, just outside of Pittsburgh. Early on he realized that a lot of people avoid going to the dentist due to fear and anxiety. Some delay so long that they have major dental issues and in some cases have put their general health at risk. Since then, he has continued his education in dentistry receiving numerous certifications including an anesthesia permit. Now he is able to offer sedation for his patients and this has become one of the main focuses of his practice. His practice has continued to advance over the years, including relocation to a larger facility in Bridgeville.
Dr. DiBartola continues to give back to the community by coaching various youth teams throughout the Pittsburgh area. He became a member of Big Brothers & Sisters of Pittsburgh in 1987 and was named Big Brother of the Year in 1995. In 2009 Dr. DiBartola was an awardee of distinction with the Pitt Varsity Letter Club. Dr. DiBartola is active in Bridgeville, Peters Township and South Fayette community affairs. He is the school dentist for the South Fayette school district and a fan of local high school sporting events. He is an active supporter of Pitt athletics and the Pitt dental school.
Dr. DiBartola is a caring, compassionate dentist who provides the highest quality dental care. He interacts with each patient that walks through the door and gives them 100% of his attention. Dr. DiBartola is a very conscientious dentist making comfort and quality dentistry his top priority.
